Trapiche Emeralds
Nature’s Rarest Masterpiece
Coming Soon
Formed deep within the Colombian Andes, trapiche emeralds are among the rarest gemstones in the world. Recognised by their unmistakable six-rayed star, no two stones are ever alike.
Now available for collectors, investors, and bespoke jewellers.

What is a Trapiche Emerald?
Trapiche emeralds are a geological phenomenon found almost exclusively in Colombia’s legendary Muzo, Chivor, and Peñas Blancas mines. These emeralds are unlike any other. Their iconic six-pointed “spoked wheel” pattern is formed by natural inclusions during crystal growth, creating a starburst unlike anything else in the gem world.
They are not treated, not replicated, and not man-made.
They are natural, collectible, and rare.
Less than 0.1% of emeralds display the trapiche pattern.
A true treasure for connoisseurs and collectors.
Each stone on this site is personally selected based on:
- Pattern clarity
- Origin
- Natural formation quality
- Certification availability
Whether you’re looking for a rare collector’s piece or a one-of-a-kind centre stone for jewellery, our catalogue is small, curated, and exquisite.
Why Trapiche Emeralds Are a Smart Investment
With demand for rare, story-driven gems on the rise, trapiche emeralds offer a unique opportunity:
📈 Low Competition: Very few dealers specialise in them, meaning higher resale potential if you buy right.
🔥 Underappreciated = Undervalued: Prices remain accessible, for now.
💡 High Visual Impact: The star pattern attracts collectors, designers, and high-end buyers.
⛰️ Tied to Colombian Heritage: These gems carry cultural and geological prestige.
Trapiche in Jewellery Design
